Nokia N9 firmware update soon

According to Nokia Conversations, the Nokia N9 will get a firmware update during the fourth quarter of 2011. It will likely include some of the 3,500 improvements coming to the N9. Nokia Conversations reveals that the upcoming update includes usability improvements, like music controls keys from the lock screen or closing apps by swiping them down by default, features that are already included in the latest PR1.1 firmware of the Nokia N950. However, in the upcoming update for the N9, NFC tag reading is also added. The N950 does not have NFC.
