Future mobile devices nag about your eating habits
Here is a video which celebrates 25 years of innovation at Nokia Research Center. As seen in the video, many of the things we take for granted nowadays, have been invented by Nokia. Evidently, there is much more up their sleeves. Nokia Conversations has an interesting interview with Dr Leo Kärkkäinen from Media Technologies Laboratory. He seems to dream up quite a few things, including telepathy control.
Dr Leo Kärkkäinen sees no reason why we couldn't have a phone which advises on lifestyle choices, by combining location, our web searches and how much we move around. "I would like to see the next wave of devices warning you that you've been eating too much of the wrong kind of food," he says. While I do understand the health benefits involved, I'm not so sure that I would like it that even my phone would be nagging about my eating habits and, if I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling peckish, I would need to move like ninja to reach refrigerator without waking up any proximity sensors on the phone. Anyway, it is an interesting interview, so follow the source to read more.
